Guided Fly Fishing Trips
I've been guiding across a couple of decades with stints in Colorado, Alaska, Montana and Patagonia. Currently, I'm running an Alaska season while spending the off-season on hosted and exploratory missions. I might run a limited program in Montana again at some point, with a focus on schools, unique fisheries and places that aren't inundated with crowds. Reach out for openings, although 2026 is pretty locked down unless you can snag a slot at Katmai Sky Lodge or Katmai Lodge (July/August). I'm also open to running late season (Sept/Oct) sessions out of King Salmon if things work through a local outfit. Swinging Naknek would be worth sacrificing the elk season in Montana. Future Fly Fishing Schools
This is a new program in development and it's not available just yet. I have the location a good chunk of the logistics sorted for a fly fishing school. As much as I love guiding, I very much prefer teaching people skill they can take home. Guiding is a game of numbers. How many did you catch? That's the end goal and it's one the guide can manipulate without any angler advancement. It's extremely rare for a guide day to function as a true learning experience. I hope to have a school program opening with small class sizes in the near future. I'll run a few sessions each year, during times when it makes sense to combine the classroom with prime fisheries in Montana. Jump on the waiting list and I'll have a program to share soon.
